PDF to Word
Extract text from a PDF and save it as an editable .docx file. Free and browser-based.
This tool extracts plain text from the PDF. Complex formatting, tables, images, columns, and custom fonts are not preserved. The output is a plain-text .docx suitable for editing, not a pixel-perfect replica of the original.

Frequently asked questions
- Will my formatting be preserved?
- No. This tool extracts plain text only. Tables, images, columns, and complex layouts are not reproduced in the output.
- Are my files uploaded to a server?
- No. Text extraction runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF never leaves your device.
- Why is the text in the wrong order?
- PDFs store text by position on the page, not reading order. The tool groups text by vertical position, but complex multi-column layouts may not extract in the expected sequence.
- Can I convert a scanned PDF?
- No. Scanned PDFs contain images of text, not actual text data. This tool cannot perform OCR (optical character recognition).
